A camlock fitting, also known as a cam and groove coupling, is a type of quick-connect fitting commonly used in industries for the safe and efficient transfer of liquids, gases, and powders. It consists of two parts: a male adapter and a female coupler. The male adapter has grooves, while the female coupler features cam arms and latches. To connect the two parts, the cam arms are lifted, the adapter is inserted into the coupler, and then the arms are pressed down to securely lock them in place.
